A Darth Vader mask made of solid gold will go on India Movies | Adult Movies Onlinesale in Japan next week, with the hefty price tag of $1.4 million.

Japanese jeweller Tanaka Kikinzoku unveiled the 15kg (33 lbs) sculpture on Tuesday, which was commissioned to mark the 40th anniversary of Star Wars.

The 24 karat gold mask will be available for purchase -- when else? -- on May the 4th, otherwise known as Star Wars Day.
The jewellers are also planning to release gold coins in celebration of the anniversary, for a range between $1,200 and $11,000.

To the celebrate the 40th anniversary of the series of Star Wars, the Japanese jewelry store is selling a life-size mask of Darth Vader made from 15kg of pure 24k gold. The Mask is valued at approximately 1.4 million US Dollars. The store is also selling sets of 24k gold commemorative coins with prices ranging from USD 1,201 to 11,124. The products will go on sale on Star Wars Day, May 4th.

A gold plated Darth Vader mask and golden Star Wars themed coins are seen on display at the Ginza Tanaka jewellery store in Tokyo, Japan. The store will sell a series of Star Wars themed golden coins to commemorate the new Star Wars movie Episode VII The Force Awakens, which is scheduled for release on December 18, 2015. Four kinds of 24k gold coins, each with an individual serial number, will be sold with prices ranging from 500 USD to 8,000 USD.
