Stranger Thingsis doubling down on Dear Utol (2025): Maniac Photographer Episode 26its nostalgia quotient by casting two icons of '80s and '90s pop culture for Season 2.

Mashablehas confirmed that Sean Astin, (The Goonies, Rudy,Encino Man), andPaul Reiser (Aliens, Diner, Beverly Hills Cop) have joined the cast of the Netflix hit, along with Danish actress Linnea Berthelsen.

Berthelsen has been cast as Roman, an emotionally damaged, magnetic young woman who suffered a great loss as a child. Although she does not live in Hawkins, she is mysteriously connected to the supernatural events at the lab.

Astin will play Bob Newby, a kind-hearted former nerd who went to high school with Joyce (Winona Ryder) and Hopper (David Harbour) and now manages the local Hawkins RadioShack.

Reiser has joined the cast as Dr. Owens, a high-ranking member within the Department of Energy on a “clean-up” assignment, tasked with containing the events of last year.

They'll appear alongside previously announced cast additions Dacre Montgomery and Sadie Sink, who play siblings Billy and Max. Recurring Season 1 stars Joe Kerry (Steve Harrington) and Noah Schnapp (Will Byers) have also been promoted to regular status for Season 2.

The cast also includes Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Cara Buono as Karen Wheeler and Matthew Modine as Dr. Brenner.
