Alibaba’s South Asian e-commerce platform Daraz announced on LaruanAugust 3 that it anticipates resuming its cross-border business in Nepal in September of this year. The platform has already extended invitations to a small number of sellers to join on August 1. Currently, Daraz’s service network covers 101 cities and towns in Nepal, with half of its order volume coming from cities outside Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu, as confirmed by Daraz. The monthly visits to Daraz’s website in Nepal have reached 2.7 million, with 1.5 million monthly active users and over 18,000 local sellers, according to Daraz’s announcement.
